 * Youth Should Learn a Skill and Be Independent*


In today’s world, it is very important for every youth to learn a skill instead of depending on their parents for everything. Many young people grow up believing that their parents will always provide for them. But the truth is, a time will come when everyone must stand on their own. If a youth does not prepare early, they may face a lot of hardship and misunderstanding when they become adults.


Learning a skill gives a young person the power to earn their own money and take care of themselves. Skills like tailoring, hairdressing, coding, graphic design, content creation, plumbing, or even farming can become sources of income. With a skill, a youth will not have to wait for their parents to send money before they can eat, pay bills, or start a business. It also builds confidence because you know you can survive on your own.


Another reason why youth should learn skills early is to avoid financial problems in the future. Many adults struggle today because they waited too long to become independent. When money becomes tight at home, it can lead to quarrels and stress in the family. But a skilled youth will already have something to fall back on. They won’t end up as a broke adult who keeps depending on others.


In conclusion, every young person should take their future seriously by learning at least one skill. Education is good, but skills give you practical power. The earlier you start, the better. This way, when you grow up, you will not be stranded. You will be independent, responsible, and able to help yourself and even help others.
